After 67 years of independent, private practice, RPW is pleased to share that we will join Advocate Medical Group, part of Advocate Aurora Health, starting October 17, 2022. We believe that, with the ever-changing face of medicine, aligning with Advocate Aurora Health provides us the best opportunity to continue to grow while providing the care you have come to expect. Our mission does not change: to provide compassionate, patient-centered care of the highest quality to patients of all ages in a respectful, comfortable and caring environment the way we would want for our own families.
As part of this change, we will transition delivering pregnant patients and performing surgeries from Elmhurst Hospital to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, a short 10 minute drive from our office. As of November 14th, we will no longer be performing surgeries or deliveries at Elmhurst Hospital.
For some of our obstetrical patients, we know this may change some expectations. This decision was been long, difficult, and only recently finalized. As a Level 3 perinatal (mother-baby) center, we believe Good Samaritan offers some advantages over Elmhurst Hospital. Good Samaritan is staffed 24 hours a day by board-certified neonatologist physicians. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit also means that some of our higher risk patients or their babies do not have to be transported away to other hospitals.
Patients who deliver between October 17th and November 14th can choose at which hospital they want to deliver. HMO patients in their second or third trimester who are with Illinois Health Partners (IHP) can still deliver with us after November 14th at Good Samaritan Hospital without being considered “out of network”. As we prepare, we want to inform you of a temporary change to our office location. Our Elmhurst office at 360 W. Butterfield Rd. will undergo a significant planned renovation to improve your comfort and our overall efficiency with technological upgrades. To lessen the disruption to your care, we will temporarily relocate to the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital campus in Downers Grove starting Oct. 17 for several months.

We will be unable to see patients in our Elmhurst office the week of Oct. 17 as our entire staff will be in orientation and training. However, throughout the week we will be available to provide care by phone or in person at Elmhurst Hospital as needed, similar to how we provided care at the start of the pandemic.
We are committed to ensuring your needs are met. We apologize for any inconvenience and ask for your patience and understanding. We believe this temporary move provides the best chance to quickly resume patient care in a renovated Elmhurst office without continued interference.
